Devotionals are short vivid articles that focus on one particular theme or topic
and written with a concentration on one single spiritual teaching. While
devotionals can cover painful material, they will minister more effectively to
the reader if the reader is left feeling encouraged rather than depressed.
The theme of devotional classic book MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST is that The
Christian life is difficult but encourages us that it can be challenge by our
attitude every thing is possible. In this book Oswald Chambers give us each day
a new great thought. The devotional are not based only on the new testament but
also from the old testament.
Jesus said: For if you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote of
me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words(john
5:46-47), so Oswald explain 58 topics from old testament. Christianity Today
magazine called this book one of the top ten ever read books in Christian
history
By devotional books we cant mean something sentimental, we believers can just
mean a true element of worship in it. If you want to start reading something
that will warm your spirit then you should read this book.
